Rakaposhi is a crown jewel of Nagar and Hunza Valley. It is present in Nagar Valley and every eye that falls upon Rakaposhi is stunned by the majestic views. Treks in these valleys, seldom on the itineraries of trekkers, are easily accessible by road with mostly simple trails and breath taking vistas. These treks tend to be the simplest, and the hot favourite trek for the newcomers. Besides this trek, the visitors can enjoy a drive on the Karakorum highway surrounded by majestic mountains and lush green landscapes.
Karimabad is a charming high perched town offering spectacular views of the Hunza Valley. We have a full day here for rest, adaptation, and sightseeing. There will be some good walk along the water channels from where the fields of Hunza are watered. It will be the apricot season and everyone will be picking and drying the new crop. The whitewashed Baltit Castle, once ruling Mir’s estate, watches over the valley, and is now a museum. Altit Fort is even more dramatic, poised over a sheer drop to the Hunza River. Rakaposhi and Diran glacier.
Hunza valley is very beautiful and peaceful valley known for the lush green orchards, swift rivers, and snowy peaks. The Rakaposhi peak is 7186m above sea level, this peak dominates the Hunza valley. The Rakaposhi trek will give you the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular surrounding valleys and take you closer to the enormous peak for an overnight camping experience. The excellent quick and simple trek from Minapin to Rakaposhi Base Camp Trek, also known as Taghaphari, is perfect for Karakoram trekking.
This trek is so easy and accessible and at the same time very enjoyable. It is 2-3 hours from Minapin village to Hapakun, 3-4 hours easy walk on easy trial than from Hapkun to Rakaposhi Base Camp.
